Senior Infrastructure Technician

• 5+ years experience in an Open Systems Application Support Environment supporting Windows and Unix
• 4+ years experience dealing with Networking issues from an Application Support perspective (Cisco preferred)
• 4+ years experience working with database management system support from an Application Support perspective (SQL Server and Oracle preferred)
• 4+ years experience dealing with Active Directory/LDAP environments from an Application Support perspective
• Strong knowledge and understanding of the relevant technologies and platforms-particularly with system configuration
• Strong trouble shooting and problem solving skills in a multi-systems environment
• Knowledge and experience in working with monitoring and remote diagnostics tools

Responsibilities:

Review daily system operations, analyze and report information with Operations and Business teams.
Prepare action plans for mitigation and initiate capacity increase requisitions.
Responsible for defining, implementing best practices and standard processes to support the project teams to plan and forecast technology capacity based on business trends.

Help Desk Technician

Description:
• Provide support to end users on a variety of Desktop/Laptop issues
• Identifies, researches and resolves technical issues
• Responds to telephone calls, e-mail and personnel requests for technical support
• Documents, tracks and monitors the problem to ensure a timely resolution
• Advanced technical knowledge specifically relating to a Window 2000/2003 networked environment
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office
• Ability to provide user training on MS Office when required
• Completes special projects as assigned by management
• Record and track status of all calls/e-mails received by the helpdesk and follow up to ensure problems are resolved successfully and satisfactorily
• Perform network backup functions
• Install and upgrade hardware and software components for PCs, laptops and servers
• Maintain a comprehensive hardware inventory database including peripherals and warranty information
• Participate in the development and implementation of standard help desk processes and procedures

Preferred Experience:

Experience with network printing (LPD, RAW, JetDirect), MS Office, Windows 2000 (user and security administration), MS Exchange, UNIX, Active Directory, network connectivity (TCP/IP, PPP, VPN and frame-relay), and Citrix Metaframe

Above average written and verbal communications skills
Ability to work with users at all levels of PC literacy
Network +, A+, MCP and MCSE Certifications a big plus

Help Desk experience a plus
MCSE Certification preferred
References required

• Self starter capable of managing extensive pipeline
